February 2023 Newsletter

Remember the bulletin board in the biker bar area? We invite customers to post their bikes for sale and their “want to buy” lists. Since we don’t take bikes on consignment )too complicated and liability issues) this is the perfect place to post at no charge. Only BMW’s and only bikes we know and have serviced.

There’s a captive audience since buyers or sellers are in the store looking. When postings show up all we do is give phone numbers or email addresses. All communication is done between the parties involved. A couple of special units are up for new homes:

A hard to find 650GS Dakar (BMW “dirt bike”) is available to a new owner. We sold it new and have maintained the bike. It has 39.8 k miles and comes with luggage, day and night cameras, PIAA flood lights, custom rack for luggage, top case, crash bars, skid plate and a lot more. For details, contact seller directly at 310 488 5703. It’s located quite close to the shop.

Another is a Racing Red 2016 R1200GS; fully equipped and serviced regularly here; low miles and ready to take on the world. Among other options, it is a LOW SUSPENSION, Premium Pkg, Cruise Control, hand protection, luggage racks, etc. The owner is at 310 500 7295 and it is also located here in the local area.

Don’t hesitate to send an email if you wish to post a “want to buy” or “available to new home” as we’ll be happy to get it up for you. During the Covid mess, not many people ventured out so traffic in the store was sparse.  Things have picked up now and the CHP Riding schools are filled up with new riders out looking.

Interest rates and incentives remain thru February. Some 2022’s have customer cash discounts and low rates…these include 1250GS/GSA’s  In the last month we received 10 new bikes…2023’s. – some models with low interest rates and incentives. With the rain and cold, they have been stuffed indoors and it’s quite crowded trying to step over or thru the maze to get to see the one you want. The last arrival just completed assembly yesterday and most do not have batteries hooked up or test rides because of the great number. We promise to sort thru and get  the one you might have interest in ready for prime time!

As the major rains have slowed, the call of the the road beckons and groups are planning their Alaska trips. All services should be brought up to date; check for recalls or campaigns before heading north. New tires are highly recommended. For those seeking to adventure across the US, same suggestions. With all the rains this past season, the rides should be amazing whether you have a couple of days, couple of weeks or couple of months, riding  away from freeways and traffic will bring you back to remembering why we chose this life.

As always, ride safe and we continue to appreciate your continued support.
