Three generations of the Richter family have owned and operated West Valley. Jay and Ruth Richter founded the business selling Cushman scooters, Mustang motorcycles, and other brands like BSA, Velocette, Moto Guzzi and NSU. In 1955 Jay became a BMW motorcycle dealer.
Now in 2016, WVCS is the oldest continuous BMW motorcycle dealer in the United States. In the second half of 2012, both of our founders, Jay and Ruth passed on.
Patiently trained by Ruth and Jay, the second and third generations of the Richter family continue the family business today.
The Arctic Circle
A man of his word, when Brian Cowden bought his new R1200GS, he promised Mom and Laurie he would take them on his trip to the Arctic Circle.
Snapping a shot of the two of them as Laurie stamped his owners manual at time of delivery, Brian kept his word and as you can see he literally took them to the Arctic Circle with him.
